In many fields of learning,equipment are used to make understanding of what ever we are learning easier.So it is also with the learning the of the English language.In unit seventeen,i learned of the various equipment(teaching aid) and ways of using them to teach the English language along side English text books.
Teaching aids as seen in unit seventeen,is used depending on the different schools and level of the learners.For example,equipment we will use for teaching kids will not be the same as those use for teaching grown ups.while some are good for both kids and grown ups,like,white/blackboards,overhead projector,visual aids and course books.Teaching aids like,online resources,video cameras,resource books,among other mature equipment which may be difficult to use,will be good for grown ups.
The various teaching equipment help in their own ways.Some are even like complementary goods that one can not go without the other,for example,chalk and black board.Though it is said that there are some disadvantages in using some teaching aids like course books,in my opinion,all these equipment or teaching aids are important because it makes comprehension of the lesson easier and faster.
