When teaching English there are usually many different specific groups that a teacher may encounter, teaching beginners, individuals, business English, teaching a multicultural class etc. One important thing to keep in mind is that while all those different groups maybe learning English is that their skill, and motivation levels will vary so it's important to tailor their needs to how you plan a lesson. For example a group of young learners may be forced take the class so their motivation level may not be as high as someone who is studying business English. Therefore easier and more visual lessons that change frequently may be more appropriate than studying a list of important vocabulary words related to an adult's field of business. In either case giving the students what they need always comes first.
