The unit covers teaching theories and methodologies. It is interesting to note the various methods that have been proposed and used over many years, including the Classical Method, which I recognise as the method used in my own experience of learning French at secondary school.
It is pleasing to note that this course is based upon the ESA methodology, which presents as a robust system for language learning using positive methods to motivate students, expose them to the language, and provide opportunity to use it.
I look forward to becoming more familiar with the ESA methodology, and in due course, to have the opportunity to utilise ESA in a teaching situation.
