Speaking and writing are equally important productive skills. Most teachers find writing more difficult to teach than to teach speaking. When teaching speaking skills the teacher must be prepared for an incorporate accuracy and fluency activities. Accuracy activities focus on producing correct language (e.g. grammar and vocabulary usage and the output of accuracy activities are controlled by the teacher. Fluency activities focus on allowing students to experiment with speak creatively and the output of accuracy activities are controlled by the student. Unit 12 briefly went over teaching \"creative writing\" noting that the ESA method can be used to develop \"creative writing\" lesson.
