Absolute beginners have no English experience but false beginners have had some previous exposure to the language but have not retained much. There are also adult and young beginners as well as those without the Roman alphabet. An adult beginner has made a choice and will probably be motivated to learn, but young beginners usually don?t make the choice. However, young beginners tend to learn the language easier. A person may fall into more than one of these categories.
I learned the importance of tailoring my teaching to the student or students. I can relate to the fact that it is much easier to start firm and gradually relax control than it is to regain control after it has been lost.
