This was a very simple unit about teaching new vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions. The new vocabulary section included how the teacher selects new vocabulary, what the students need to know about each new vocabulary word - meaning, use, grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation - and sample lessons. The grammatical structures section included what the students need to know about the form - meaning, use forms and patterns, and spoken and written forms - and sample lesson plans. The language functions section explained what types of words are functional words and one sample lesson.
