This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 19 focused on teaching special groups, such as beginners, children/young learners, those learning English for business purposes, and individual learners. The lesson included activities for each type of group, as well as do's and don'ts for teaching each group. For example, I learned that attendance at business English classes can be sporadic, and that a teacher will not be able to cover as much ground because the class will be late and the students may be tired from a long day of work. It was also important to learn about ways to discipline and manage a classroom of young learners, as children have short attention spans and are typically more unruly than older students.
