The final unit focused on troubleshooting within the classroom. Included in the lesson were how to deal with first lessons, \"warmer\" activities, different English abilities of students, large classes, students' use of their native language, students who have difficulty with listening exercises, and students who are more shy or are reluctant to contribute to class discussion. This lesson was extremely important in helping me to understand how to deal with more difficult classroom situations and with problems that may arise either in the first few classes or throughout the course. What I took away from this lesson in particular was how to make reluctant students feel more comfortable through activities such as role-play, pair work, or controlled practice.
