From unit 15 I learned about types of tests I hadn't previously known about such as diagnostic tests and some of the general external examinations. And of course it is always important for students to evaluate the course so the teacher(s) can make improvements for future students who plan to take the same course. I think a questionnaire is ideal in most cases because students may be too shy to participate and/or give truthful feedback during a guided discussion.This unit focused on the practice of evaluation and testing. It introduced different types of tests and when it would be appropriate to use them. I learned more specifically about progress, diagnostic, and practice tests as well as the official tests given to receive certification in English. There are specific tests given for different admission purposes and levels. Overall, I thought this unit was helpful in distinguishing when to give out certain evaluations.
