I have learned from this unit the specific formula which will be used i.e. our teaching methodology... Engage, Study, Activate. The Engage stage warms up the students, reducing teacher time but ensuring all students speak some English while prepping them for the study stage. During the study stage, accuracy is more important as this is where students are learning fundamentals elements of language needed to ... ACTIVATE! In the activation stage, students utilize what they have learned to attempt fluency in the topic, lesson or project.In this unit it covered the four different types of present tense forms. The four tense forms being: present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Although i have used and taught these to my students before, i have never analysed the structure of these sentences like in this unit. I feel that i now have a better understanding between the four tense forms, which in turn will help me to explain each form in a more simple and easier way. Having the example activate stage ideas was also really useful.
