For me the most useful piece of information was the lesson plan outline. It provides a great example of a proper lesson plan and gives excellent and clear concepts for a lesson plan. This unit also provides a good list of dos and don'ts when it comes to planning your lesson. The most useful one for me was the \"Do not try to script your lesson\". Overall I would say this lesson is very valuable when it comes to teaching ESL, because of the points provided above.In this unit, we have seen some types of materials and how these materials can be created or adapted to our lessons and then how to put them in use. There are some important factors to the design of our own materials. We have read about types of materials that we can or we should use such as authentic and non-authentic materials. We should keep in mind the advantages of using authentic materials for our students and how to design our materials for the classroom.
