This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This was the most fascinating module yet, touching the surface speech pathology which is such an indepth topic. The phonemic alphabet, voiced, unvoiced, stressed, unstresed sounds are all important aspects of the pronunciation field. I can relate to non native english speakers and how difficult they must find this area to wrap their heads around. Nevertheless, I have learned that it is super important to include and explore this topic in lessons. It will be fun! This was a difficult unit. As a native speaker, I use these verb tenses without thinking about it. Similar to the other unit on grammar, it is good for me to reflect on why we use different forms in different situations. I googled why they use the word \"perfect\" with the various forms and I liked the explanation I found - that it is from the latin perfectum, meaning something that is completed or done. Knowing little background pieces like this is helpful.
