This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 20 was about the troubles we might run into while teaching and the solutions to them. First it was about having first lessons, teaching new groups and establishing rapport. Then about the importance of warmers. Then how to deal with different levels of students. Large classes and native language problems were also covered in this lesson. And lastly reluctant students and difficulties with listening texts. All the information given proves to be helpful.I have learned useful techniques and I have reviewed wonderful ideas to engage students. It is critical that students get involved before we go over the lesson and it is important to identify the type of learners and content we need to cover. I also liked the flexibility that the Patchwork ESA lesson provides and I like to try it with different combinations. Mainly the methods and techniques are extremely important for the learning process to be successful.
