Personally, I have slight difficulty for the last few questions as it was my first time learning phonemic symbols. I have experience in studying phonics but only with their sounds as not with the symbols. This unit have expanded my knowledge in English by introducing phonemic symbols and the importance of pronunciation. I totally agree that when speaking, the pronunciation and intonation of a person's speech is important as it helps to bring different messages across when the intonation is different. Furthermore, if a person's pronunciation is not accurate, it could easily cause misunderstandings between people especially of different culture likewise for mistakes in intonation during speech. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that one has to be aware of their pronunciation as well as intonation when speaking.
