This unit, as the title suggests is about the relationship between teachers and students. It explains what is expected from a teacher to be effective from general personality requirements (kind, patient, entertraining etc.) to abilities for teaching (motivating, able to correct, help, guide). It explains the possible roles the teacher must use and vary throughout lessons depending of what is necessary. After that it moves to explain the situation from the point of view of the student including an explanation of the difficulties of different cultures, ages and levels of knowledge. For me it was a very important information to remember that a teacher always has to pay attention to the students individually and as a group as well, learn about their background as much as their knowledge in order to be able effective.
