In this unit we look into the vocabulary, grammar and functions. It looks at how to teach these three things, how difficult it is to teach them, what to teach, what students actually need to know, and techniques for teaching. It has specific ideas on how to Engage, Study, and Activate for all three of the sections and suggests activities for these as well which will be very useful for future lesson plans. I was not previously aware that we should emphasize the difference in written and spoken forms, I will do this in the future.I have learnt about the best solutions when it comes to classroom arrangement and organizing students in groups, pairs etc. There are many factors that should be taken in consideration such as: available space, type of activites, students' age, personality and nationality. It is also very important that the teacher pays attention to his(her)behaviour, gestures, eye contact and voice. I have also learnt about effective ways of dealing with the lack of discipline and how to provide friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom.
