This unit demonstrated that games can be beneficial in the classroom, given that they are education oriented and have a purpose behind them. This unit explained the importance of accuracy and fluency activities and even provided us an entire page dedicated to games that could be adapted to be educational. Creating a fun and creative atmosphere in the classroom can really assist in the learning process for students while also providing the ability for rapport to be built which can also assist in the development of the students progress.This was excellent! The differences between video one and video two were so apparent for me, that I was actually embarrassed for the teacher in video number one. Some interesting take-aways after watching each. It's amazing how effective a simple smile and good attitude change the entire dynamic of a classroom. Two, I loved how seamless this teacher's lesson was. He went from engage, to study, to activate without missing a beat. I would probably have to have the entire lesson written down, so I wouldn't forget a vital piece of the phase.
