In this lesson I learned about 4 basic skills. For example receptive skills are reading and listening and productive skills are speaking and writing. Choosing the right topic can directly affect how a text is understood to students. I also learned that sentence length and word length can present problems when teaching. Therefore pre-teach words that are harder to understand should be done before assigning texts that may be difficult for students to complete.Overall, in this unit I have learned how to manage the class time effectively. I learned the adavantges and disvantages of working in individuals, pairs, and groups. I learned how to establish good rapport, how to conduct positve gestures and eye contact. I understand when and why for teachers talk time and not to use unessesceary TTT. Also, i learned how to maintain discipline, how to prevent problems and how to resposnd to them correctly and professionaly.
