This unit consisted of two demonstration lessons, one positive and one horrible that viewer and student alike have to suffer through. The first lesson consisted of the teacher doing a poor job introducing concepts, using too much jargon and being generally an unfriendly, impatient and incompetent presence in the room. The second lesson reintroduced the exact same class and teacher but in a more positive setting with a model lesson plan and various activities. The teacher was much more friendly and inviting and spoke with simple vocabulary using an evenly paced tone. Despite the fact that the teacher seems to be poorly informed about the biology and habits of some animals, his use of visuals and interesting gestures more than makes up for this small downfall in what is an otherwise excellent auxiliary verb lesson.
