In this unit, it introduces the most common methods and techniques of learning and teaching language. It gives a brief description of these different methods and this let me know that each of them has it advantages and disadvantages. So when we choose them to put into practice in our teaching, we should take the personality, the students' culture and their needs into practice. Besides, I think the ideas for different phases are very useful, it is worth learning.This unit examines the rules, principles and uses of modal verbs, and the passive and active voice in detail as well as a brief overview of phrasal and relative verbs. Modals verbs are used to express degrees of formality, examples of this include,obligation,possibility/probability, permission, ability/inability, in addition to advisability.
From this unit, I learned to apply the present, past and future tenses to the active and passive voice, using modal verbs.
