There sure are a lot of different types of tests. I think the best test is the daily monitoring of ones students. Not only does a teacher need to know if they are retaining the course material, but are they comfortable in their learning environment, and our there any outside conflicts that interfere with learning, and overall well being. From the first placement test of a student to perhaps a Cambridge suite CPE test, test are invaluable to provide information to the teacher, student, and as a job qualification, or entrance to college.In the first video the teacher is making a lot of bad decisions and the students are at a lost as to how to respond. Teacher's attitude towards the students was making them feel intimidated. Even his unfriendly face. In the second video he introduces himself and gets to know his students by name. This makes them feel welcome. Teacher is more explanatory and his instructions are clearer. The students respond better because of his effective way of teaching the class. Teacher gets more from the students and both students and teacher benefit.
