This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit discussed the four different kinds of past tenses; the simple, the continuous, the perfect, and the past perfect continuous. Having not learned much about the different kinds of tenses, I learned a lot about the subtleties about the usages for the different verbs, such as the very specific use of the past perfect continuous being used for actions that took time in the past that happened before another action where we don't know or are not concerned about exactly when it happened or whether or not it actually continued to happen. This unit covers the equipment and teaching aids in more depth than the materials unit I think there are other uses for some of the equipment but the basics are in the unit. I also feel a smartphone can be a great tool in the class room but it needs to be done properly to benefit all students and I have only used it with groups up to 10 this 2 smart phones as a competition team work active stage. and it worked out great. and I think I have only used a cassette player once in all my time teaching and that was because the cd was not working.
