This unit explained why it is vital to assess where the students are in the class. I learnt about the different types of tests and when to use them. It's important to know where students are before starting to them so that the material isn't too easy or hard for them to understand. Progress tests are useful during a class because it allows me as the teacher to know where the students are. It will also show if I need to change up things in the classroom to make retention better.Unit 12 was focused on learning about productive language skills of speaking and writing. We learned two different activities can be used to improve students speaking skills. The first group of activities can be listed under accuracy activities (focused on producing the correct language). The second group of activities can be listen under fluency (focused on allowing students to be creative). These two actives are important in producing a well rounded student in the classroom.
