I thins chapter I learnt about different methods and techniques of teaching English. This unit was really useful in case of planning future lessons and activities in the classroom. It also taught me that on every step during education, different methods can be used and should be used. I found it very refreshing that in engage part of lesson the most important thing is to encourage student to speak despite mistakes, so they can get used to using new language.In this unit, it was very apparent how the teacher's attitude, both through physical gestures, his tone of voice and style of teaching played a large role on the comfort and confidence of his students. Students are much less likely to give answers if they feel intimidated and that they will be chastised for an incorrect answer. It is the teacher's duty to foster and accepting and friendly atmosphere where the student feels free to contribute and participate.
