This unit focused on the different methodologies for language learning and their defining characteristics. Some of these include, Grammar-Translation, which is the oldest but still most common way of language learning. Another example would be The Silent Way, which makes use of colored rods to represent sounds and allows students to discover the language on their own. The lesson touched on the pros and cons of each of these methods. In addition, the unit also covered teaching in an ESA format and how to execute each stage of the ESA format.In this fifth unit, I were being introduced into the more 'realistic' way of how we should teach and the methodology came together in the examples. All three examples will come handy in the future as they gave us roughly of what to be expected when we compose and prepare the lesson material. In the end, how we deliver the material so that students will get it is the most important thing in teaching Business English. That is why I really appreciate that in this unit, we have got to see the examples of how the lesson plans should be composed.
