In this unit we focussed on the pronunciation and phonology skills. Pronunciation is probably one of the most neglected aspect of English Language teaching.Without correct pronunciation and phonology skills, it then becomes difficult to learn the language and to use the vocabulary properly.This unit helped me understand pronunciation better and the course outline was clear . I learned a lot about the different skills and this helped me to understand them better.This unit discussed the future tenses. There are seven tenses which are the most common.
1. Future Simple
2. Future Continuous
3. Future Perfect
4. Future Perfect Continuous
5. Be Going + Infinitive
6. Present Simple
7. Present Continuous
Of these seven, numbers 5 and 6 are the most frequently used. Numbers 6 and 7 are normally used as present tenses, but also have future applications. The form, usage, typical mistakes/errors and teaching ideas were also taught.
