I learned there are many methods to teach a new language to a student, as well as differing opinions as to which method is best. I see the benefit of the EFL system of teaching. The students have a well rounded teaching environment. They have more to say about what they want to talk about which gives them a feeling of empowerment in the learning experience. They are encouraged to use the language they have learned in a setting that is encouraging and supportive.Understanding the dynamics within a classroom are very important as all participants(including the teacher) will be spending a lot of time together. I was always taught a phrase, \"iron sharpens iron\". This means that when people help each other out, that they learn from each other. Everyone has something to teach each other and by encouraging the students to help one another in a happy, friendly environment, they will be able to get the most out of the lesson.
