This unit is about the receptive skills that should be taught in ESL lessons. It shows the categories of reasons and motives for listening and reading. Also it depicts the specific skills about how to read and listen as well as the problems which might occur for students and how to choose the activities for lessons focusing on receptive skills. At the end it shows example materials and tests the knowledge of the student about lesson plans on which they might be based.This unit gave an overview on the importance of lesson plans. It helped explain why lesson plans are important, what purpose they have for the classroom, and how it needs to retain flexibility for the lessons. The unit also provided a lesson plan example and a template for us to use. This lesson gave working examples on how worksheets look like, what one example of a lesson plan looked like, and what information should go into a lesson plan, which was all very helpful.
