I learned a great deal in this lesson about pronunciation and the best way to teach it. Sound in regards to speech when teaching English is very important due to the fact that each sound broken up has different meanings. I learned about stress words and the words that have a lack of stress. Sounds joining and linking speech were very helpful for me in this unit to understand the complex ways of words in regards to speech. I found this unit very informative.This unit discussed the present tenses for the English language. Tenses can be quite difficult for the English language learner as there many more tenses in the English language -- 12 in all! This unit focused on the present tense. It described the differences between present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. I particularly appreciate the section on present perfect as this can be a difficult concept to explain.
