The unit basically covers the issue of using book and materials. By dividing the materials into 2 groups; authentic & created, the unit gives a wide range of information. It does not only divide the materials in to 2, but the unit is also giving detailed and visual samples of both. The unit then gives information about course books which has advantages and disadvantages. A teacher will find ''the different options for course book use'' part very helpful and useful in order to prevent having a dull lesson.There wasn?t so much new information for me in this unit, anyway a good list of all the teaching aids availabel and reasons why to use them. I?ve been teaching in various types of classrooms with totally different kind of equipments. Usually for me the whiteboard or chalkboard is the most important one because I can structure the content for myself and the students. If available I enjoy using projector for videos or photos. If there is no projector I usually draw, I give a great value to visual aids.
