This unit was about teaching themes and how they can be applied in a range of situations and contexts. It covered case studies as tools and working with the help of frameworking and problem based learning. It continued with games that can be applied to teach business English, as well as Computer Aided Language Learning. And then we took a small glimpse into the Speech Act Theory. Furthermore some example lesson plans and materials were given.During this Unit I have learned that you teach all your groups completely different. Adults and children are completely different but also ESP adults, or adults who want to learn English for themselves. I have learned that it is very important to prepare yourself according to your students e.g. for children you can make everything fun with lots of games and songs whereas if you teach business english it will be more professional and specific.
