I am teaching two adults now that only want to focus on speaking and listening. I have convinced them that is probably not the best way to learn a new language. It is better to improve all the skills, while it would be more helpful in the future. This unit made me reflect on my past classes. I need to choose the texts that they are going to read a bit more careful. Some of the texts look like they are for beginners, but they turn out to be too difficult. I need to get back into a beginner's state of mind.In this unit I have learned lesson planning which has very important functions such as an aid to planning,a working document and a record. Lesson planning helps to think logically through stages and see which goal students have to achieve but it doesn't mean that teachers strictly have to follow the plan. Flexibility will help a teacher to be oriented on the the class and respond accordingly.
Also this unit pointed how a lesson plan should be written down, organized and what should be included in a plan.
