There is a tremendous amount of information to consider when teaching special groups. Hearing and seeing this information for the first time is certainly an introduction to the topic; however, it will take some depth of study to put all of the information together to produce an appropriate and cohesive course. I suppose the difference between this unit and the previous ones is that this one has me considering the trajectory of the entire course versus just one lesson plan. It is invaluable information and I shall use it as a point of departure in my preparations.This first unit was essentially an overview of the course as a whole. It explained what Business English is and outlined how it would be covered in each specific unit. This unit also listed the various acronyms for different teaching certifications and their meanings. The main message about teaching Business English in general, was that one does not have to be an expert in the area that they are teaching, such as business, law, or even medicine. The unit ends with a description of where classes may take place, as well as how many hours one may expect with students.
