This unit was helpful in showing the variety of tests that an educator can administer, and the purpose that each can serve. This will be helpful to initiate the education process by giving a placement exam, and proceeding from that point. Prior to reading this information, I was under the impression that a test was just a test. I'm thankful to have learned that each one is designed to shape the student and keep tabs on his/her exact needs.This unit deals with the two productive aspects of language: writing and speaking. While writing may be difficult - especially for students with alphabet that are vastly different - this part of the course offers a lot of room in terms of students being able to have fun with what they're learning by incorporating more game elements into the learning process. This is where students can start fine tuning the basic skills they've learned before.
