Speaking and writing are also incredibly important skills for an English language student to learn. These skills exist within the language in order to portray, or present information to another person. This can be both for a specific reason or for entertainment purposes. In speach, both accuracy and fluency are important, and need to be given equal attention, but need to be taught in separate ways that are condusive to learning each. There are many activities available to teach these, but the teacher must always strive to make the students comfortable enough to fully engage in speaking. With regards to writing, some key areas to focus on for students is with penmanship, spelling, punctuation, and being able to write creatively. Activities and games are available to help both with creative writing skills and speaking.
