Unit 18 takes a look at a very important part of the English grammar. The unit is about modals, phrasal and passive voice. Modal verbs fall in few different categories, depending on the idea a verb expresses. They are: obligation, possibility/ probability,permission/ prohibition, ability, and advise.
Regarding the passive voice, the unit explains the two voices in English- the active and the passive and their uses and structure.
Relative clauses is a group of words that contain a noun and a subject. The three categories of relative clause are independent clause, dependent clause, and relative clause. They have different structure and have different functions.
The unit also pays attention to the phrasal verbs. The three basic types of phrasal verbs are intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable.
