Reflecting on Unit 2 I can explain 4-fold the main things I have taken from it:
Firstly, the reference to the work of Piaget, ESA provided a nice connection to the research I have conducted for my TESOL Diploma, the framework of levels and descriptors also provided nice synoptic links with my study of ALTE in Unit 4 of the Diploma.
There was also several useful nods to my previous teaching experiences, including the seating arrangements and student characteristics sections.
New knowledge was provided to me through introduction of Maturation as a concept, and the pros and cons being set out of various approaches was extremely useful.
Finally, the Young Learner question at the end of the Task Sheet helped shed more light for me on why I put a certain answer on the Unit 1 test, getting me thinking even more on the topic.
