EFL methodology and feedback was very informative for me. I have no experience in teaching English to anyone before. Each technique are helpful tools in order to properly teach the students. The main focus is to encourage the students correct them when needed but also praise them. Ensuring the right amount of praising allows the students to stay confident and focused. The engage phase I feel is the most important stage it allows the teacher to understand each students strengths and weaknesses. The engage stage also allows students to learn from each other and build their strengths. Corrections such as
-The mistake is with the language point we are teaching
-The mistake is being regularly repeated either by the student or other class members and so risks becoming ingrained
-The mistake seriously impedes understanding
