Teachers can assess their student’s language level by having tutorials, allowing evaluations by students and preparing tests. Teachers can hold tutorials to discuss the aim of the lesson and to review previous lessons and any problems that the students may have. Evaluation by the students will allow teachers to know if the course material is useful as it relates to teaching the course and whether or not the students are learning, based on reviews teachers can also figure out ways to improve their teaching techniques. Teachers often times use test to evaluate the performance or progress of their students. There are different types of test that evaluate the intelligence of a student, these include; placement test, progress test, diagnostic test, practice test, general external examination and Cambridge assessment.
