This lesson focused on the advantages and disadvantages of using course books, authentic materials and created materials. It pointed out the importance of changing the types of teaching aids/materials to be used depending on the lesson being taught, the level or skills of the students, as well as the attitude of the students towards the lesson itself. The relationship of the teacher to the students might also be a factor to be considered. Another factor is the personality of both the teacher and the students present, if the students are the type to actively participate and tends to be more involved and attentive during classes when they need to move and do some work, then it is better to employ more activities, but if the students present are the type to prefer the direct teaching approach, then it is better to do so.
