This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focuses on modals and passive voice, as well as relative clauses and phrasal verbs, which makes it grammar packed. It reinforces my previous knowledge on these grammar concepts.. Modal auxiliary verbs and passive voice were explained in detail. Many of the modals have the same uses (e.g. ‘should, must, and have to’ are used to express obligation). The chart presented is very useful to see the difference and the similarity in the uses of modals. The difference between active and passive voice was also explained in detail, and the chart that showed the different forms of the passive voice according to its tenses was very helpful. A brief overview of relative clauses and phrasal verbs were also discussed in this unit but I need to do more in depth study in order for me to teach these grammar concepts.
