However, employing these methods and techniques should always have a rhyme and reason. Lessons should begin by engaging with students, arousing interest and involvement and motivating them to discover the language themselves. Lessons should end with an activation of the language point that was learned in the lesson, while the teacher encourages free communication including language already known by students. In between the engagement and activation stages can be a mix-up of either of the two, while making sure to include a studying stage, focusing on the new language points and its construction.
