This unit was a wonderful overview of lesson planning and the components involved in each plan, along with reasoning. I liked to see a sample lesson plan because they do tend to vary. In the States, there is no consensus on what types of lesson plans to use and with my experiences working with a number of teachers in a variety of different schools and educational settings--lesson plans always tend to vary. It is true that more experienced teachers do not need to write everything down as much as less experienced teacher. I personally use an online planning tool called Planbook.com that keeps record of all of my lesson plans as well as what standards I have used. It keeps all of my classes and work organized in one place. This unit also helped me see how the ESA lesson planning style fits well with any lesson plan format.
