To summarise, from what I have learned, this unit gives me an understanding of the teacher to student relationship. Firstly understanding the role of a teacher and his or her responstibility towards his or her students. As teachers we have to know what is expected of us in terms of curriculum as well as our own ability to teach effectively. We also need to understand our students and where they are coming from. There is a balance with which we have to be able to apply our methods of teaching once gaining an understanding of who it is we are teaching and being able to be flexible enough to efficiently, and effectively teach our students the material they need to learn. From teaching different age groups, to being able to assess our students abilities, it is important to be able to notice these things and teach accordingly.
