This unit has taught me a number of things. Firstly it dealt with the attributes of a good teacher which include being kind , patient and being able to motivate students. This is an important attribute as it helps mould the teacher personality wise to become a better teacher towards their students. The roles help one to understand what is expected of them as a teacher. Furthermore learning about the language levels has helped me understand the different levels students belong to , this in turn will help in lesson planning and distribution of work. In conclusion it has helped me understand what is expected of me as a teacher , the relationship between the teacher and students which is highlighted in the roles of the teacher and factors that may affect my teaching be it in a negative or positive way such as culture and age.
