Unit 15 outlines different ways of evaluating students levels and progress through tutorials, evaluation by students and tests. These different forms of assessments are defined, and under the heading 'Tests' a number of these are exlpained in more detail.
This unit then looks at General external examinations as well as different facets of the Cambridge Assessment.
Unit 15 provided me with a good understanding of how to evaluate students' levels of progress. I realize that this type of feedback is important for the students so that they can evaluate their own level and progress. This enables them to position themselves within the course context which will in turn promote clarity, interaction and progress.
The information on external exams is also very helpful in the event of having to prepare students for such an exam.
