This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Continuing on the grammatical theme of our even units, unit 6 introduces the four past tenses. Past simple, past perfect, past continuous and past perfect continuous. Past simple helps us communicate actions that were completed at a specific time in the past. Past perfect helps show the relation of two past actions; it helps identify the past in the past. Past continuous can be used for a few different scenarios but commonly requires a time reference, but can also be used to discuss the evolution of an event in the past (i.e.: The music was getting louder). Finally past perfect continuous is not commonly taught or used but still has merit and is used to discuss the relation of past actions that happened in the past. One action that defines the time and one continuous event in the past that occurred continuously but has ended.
