The content of this unit is about the roles of the teacher and students in the classroom. The unit addresses that the teacher has to perform various roles throughout the course of a class, such as being a facilitator, manager, organizer, and assessor.
Students are also discussed as having various levels, as well as various motivation for why they are studying English.
I particularly found the section of their cultural background to be important. I have experience teaching English in Japan, and am hoping that in the future I will have the chance to teach in other countries as well. However, up until now my students have mostly been from the same cultural background so I think it is important that I remember teaching students in other countries in my future may require different tasks and strategies from me as their teacher.
