In conclusion, parts of speech play an important role in English language grammar. This unit contains professional definitions and specific functions of different parts of speech involving nouns, verbs and adjective, and etc. Through learning this unit, I can identify the roles of the words in sentences. The systematical introduction in the unit lets me know where words should be placed and how words should be used in sentences. Now I have got a clearer idea of parts of speech and it will help my teaching in the future.This was a great lesson, I think it has given me the tool to help plan a successful and productive lesson and I really like the lesson plan shared with us. What I have learnt from this unit is to be organised and prepared for each class as this will give structure to the lesson. I have also learnt that it is important to have a variety of activate (or engage) exercises so as to keep the students motivated during the class. I also feel it is important to have back up exercises in case some are over quicker than expected.
