Unit 13 focused on Teaching Pronunciation and Phonology. I learnt that Intonation is the rise and fall of the voice in speaking. The strong part of the sentenced is considered as the stressed word. All multi-syllable word in English have one or more parts that are stressed. It is important to know that each word has one stress, however, there can be a secondary stress with some words which is much smaller than primary stresses, secondary stress only occur with longer words. Also, we can only stress syllables. This unit also looked at the speech organs, speech articulation and manner of articulation.
